Mallory Edens appears to be taking a public swipe at Aaron Rodgers.
On Monday, Sept. 21, the Milwaukee Bucks co-owner’s daughter posted on Instagram after Rodgers went on a podcast and spoke at length about his past relationships, including the ones he had with Danica Patrick and Shailene Woodley. Edens and Rodgers reportedly dated in 2023, and while Rodgers didn’t name her, she clearly caught the message.
“My ex is currently on a press tour talking about how he never loved anyone he dated after 2017,” the 30-year-old Edens wrote.
“Unfortunately for him, I am also on a press tour, for a movie inspired by how down bad I was. Really exciting time for competing narratives!!”
The timing matters here. Rodgers had just opened up about his personal life on Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Cam Heyward’s “Not Just Football” podcast, where he talked about the regret he feels over not proposing to his now wife in 2017. Rodgers said he met her before she moved back to Europe, then slipped into “a tailspin” in his romantic life after they were separated.
“I was emotionally unavailable I think for those seven or eight years because I met the person that changed my life,” Rodgers said. “… I knew I was supposed to be with this one person and I couldn’t because we were separated by an ocean for a lot of it.”
Rodgers also revisited the relationships that came after that. He dated retired race car driver Danica Patrick from 2017 to 2020, then got engaged to actress Shailene Woodley in December 2020. That engagement ended by March 2021, according to Rodgers.
He didn’t hold back when talking about how those exes have discussed him publicly in recent years.
“I dated two women who nobody gives a (expletive) about unless they drop my name and they like to give their version of what happened like I'm a monster of a partner,” Rodgers said on the podcast. “It's just (expletive) horse----.
No. 1, why are you still talking about me? It's been years.”
Edens was one of the names folded into that broader dating history. People.com reported in early 2023 that she and Rodgers were dating, with a source saying, “It’s more than friends, but it’s casual,” and adding, “He’s not looking to rush into anything. It’s low-key for now."
Neither of them ever publicly addressed that relationship at the time. Now, Edens has chosen her moment, and she’s doing it as she prepares for the release of a new movie she co-produced.
Rodgers, meanwhile, has moved on publicly as well. He announced a relationship with a woman named Brittani in late 2024 and later said they were married. His wedding ring was first noticed at the Kentucky Derby in May 2025, and he confirmed the marriage in June.
He has said Brittani prefers to stay out of the spotlight, and the two have never appeared together publicly. Still, Rodgers has started to share a few details, saying they met in Austin, Texas, that she was engaged when she was back in Europe after leaving the U.S., that they reconnected two years ago and that they eloped.
As for Edens, she is one of Wes Edens’ four daughters and the most visible of the group, regularly showing up at Bucks games and sitting courtside with her father. Rodgers, who once owned a small stake in the franchise, has also been seen courtside with them over the years.
She first drew widespread attention in 2014 as the Bucks’ team representative at the NBA Draft lottery at age 18, and she returned to that role this year when Milwaukee was in the lottery for the first time in 10 years.
Beyond the Bucks, Edens is a model and the founder of Little Ray Media. Her company’s second film, “Charlie Harper,” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 and is set for a full theatrical release on Sept. 25, including select local Marcus Theaters. The film stars Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson.
“This movie is a love letter to growing up and falling in love and we can’t wait for it to be yours,” Edens wrote on Instagram earlier this summer along with a trailer for the film.
