Gonzagas New Pac-12 Reality Will Feel Different For Zags Fans

Gonzaga basketball's move to the Pac-12 promises a season packed with prime-time exposure and exciting matchups, as the new schedule reveals nationwide coverage and alternative viewing times for fans.

Gonzaga’s first season in the new-look Pac-12 is taking shape on television, and the Zags won’t be hard to find.

Every one of Gonzaga’s 31 games is set for national broadcast in 2026-27, including all 16 conference games. The schedule had already been released earlier this month, and now the tip times and TV windows are in place for Mark Few’s team as it enters a fresh era after nearly 50 years in the WCC.

The league’s national package is spread across CBS, CBS Sports Network, The CW and USA Network, giving Gonzaga a wide TV footprint from start to finish. The home game against San Diego State on Feb. 27 will air on CBS. Four other Pac-12 games will land on CBS Sports Network, three on The CW and the remaining eight on USA Network.

There’s another noticeable shift for fans: more reasonable start times. Gonzaga has 15 of its 29 scheduled games tipping before 6:00 PM PT, and only four games slated for 8:00 PM or later. That’s a friendlier calendar than the late-night grind the Zags often faced in the WCC.

The nonconference slate is just as spread out on the national stage, with ESPN, CBS, FOX, TNT/TruTV, The CW and USA Network all carrying pieces of it. ESPN will have Gonzaga’s three games in the Player’s Era Festival.

FOX gets the UCLA game in Anaheim and the road trip to Creighton the following weekend. CBS takes Gonzaga’s meeting with Michigan State in Palm Springs, along with the Battle in Seattle against Oregon, which is set for an 11:00 AM tip.

Gonzaga is coming off a 31-4 season, though the roster turnover is severe. Only two players from that team, Braden Huff and Davis Fogle, are back in Spokane for 2026-27.

Here’s the full schedule, including the two exhibition games:

Gonzaga Finally Got One Answer But The Roster Drama Isnt Over

Gonzaga got a much-needed roster boost this week when Javon Bennett was cleared to play after the Ohio Supreme Court stayed a previous appellate ruling tied to the Borovicanin lawsuit. Bennett, who spent the previous stop of his college career at Dayton, is now expected to be available when the Bulldogs open exhibition play against Arkansas on Oct. 24, giving Mark Few another experienced guard option as the season approaches.

The relief, though, only goes so far. Chauncey Wiggins and Izan Almansa are still stuck in limbo because of separate legal and NCAA clearance issues, leaving Gonzaga without two rotation pieces for the time being. The result is a roster picture that has become a little clearer at one spot but still carries enough uncertainty to keep the Bulldogs waiting on more than one front. [Read more 🡒]

Gonzaga's Backcourt Just Got A Huge Boost With One Big Catch

Javon Bennetts path to Gonzaga took another turn this week, and it gives the Bulldogs a little more time to sort out a backcourt that already looked interesting heading into the fall. The Dayton transfer has temporarily regained eligibility for a fifth college season after the Ohio Supreme Court stayed an earlier ruling from the Ohio Court of Appeals, a development tied to the ongoing Borovicanin vs. NCAA lawsuit over 5-in-5 eligibility.

For Gonzaga, the timing matters because the exhibition opener arrives Oct. 24, and Bennett now factors into the mix as the Bulldogs continue building out their rotation. The situation still carries some uncertainty, though, because the legal fight at the center of it all is not finished and Bennetts status remains part of a broader eligibility battle that could keep shifting as the season gets closer. Braden Huff Just Got The Snub Gonzaga Fans Will Notice

Braden Huff is back for Gonzaga in 2026-27 after an injury-shortened season that still showed just how dangerous he can be around the rim. Even with the stop-and-start nature of that year, Huff averaged 17.8 points while shooting 66.2% from the field, production that helped keep him squarely in the national conversation as the Bulldogs look ahead to another demanding schedule.

CBS Sports did not put Huff on its preseason All-America list, a notable omission for a player who has already proven he can carry a major scoring load. The list leaned heavily toward power-conference programs, leaving Gonzaga with another familiar motivation as it lines up several top-tier opponents and gives Huff a chance to make the case the preseason voters missed.
