A potential new piece for Gonzaga’s 2027 backcourt is starting to come into focus, and this one comes with a strong local tie.
Jalen Davis, the five-star combo guard from Bremerton, Washington, has placed the Bulldogs inside his top-10 schools. He’s also set to take an official visit to McCarthey Athletic Center on Nov. 7, when Gonzaga opens the 2026-27 home slate against New Mexico State.
Davis’ visit schedule is beginning to fill out around that stop in Spokane. Rivals’ Joe Tipton reported Davis’ recent statement that brought his fall trips into view, including Ole Miss on Sept. 12 and Stanford on Sept.
- Two Big Ten visits had already been lined up before Davis revealed his top-10: Iowa on Oct. 3 and UCLA on Oct.
- Washington and USC have now joined the mix as well.
The 6-3, 165-pound guard is rated by Rivals as the No. 19 prospect in the country, the No. 6 player at his position, and the top recruit in Washington. He played for Slow Grind Elite on the Adidas 3SSB circuit and delivered over 24 points per game while shooting better than 49 percent from the floor.
Davis also spent a busy summer making noise overseas, turning in strong performances at Adidas EuroCamp in Treviso, Italy, and for NGT 3SSB at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague FINALS in Athens, Greece.
What stands out in Davis’ profile is how much he can score and how much he can disrupt. He’s mostly an off-ball threat, but he also racks up steals, and his junior high school season backed up the hype in a big way.
He earned Washington’s Gatorade Player of the Year honor after averaging 31.5 points on 63.9 field goal percentage and 40.0 three-point percentage, along with 9.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 5.8 steals per game. He heads into his senior year chasing a third straight Class 2A state championship.
