Tyon Grant-Foster’s path to the pros now runs through Sioux Falls.
The former Gonzaga wing was taken No. 15 overall by the Sioux Falls Skyforce in Saturday’s NBA G League Draft, giving the 26-year-old his first professional home after going unselected in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Grant-Foster had already gotten a taste of pro basketball over the summer. He signed an NBA Summer League deal with the San Antonio Spurs and appeared once at the California Classic before adding three more games at Vegas Summer League.
His route to Gonzaga was anything but ordinary. Grant-Foster spent time at Indian Hills Community College, Kansas, DePaul and Grand Canyon before landing at Gonzaga for his final season of eligibility. The NCAA initially turned down his eligibility waiver, but he challenged the decision in court and earned a preliminary injunction in Spokane County Superior Court, which cleared him to play for Mark Few’s team in 2025-26.
Once on the floor for the Zags, Grant-Foster settled into a reserve role more often than not. He started six of 35 games, yet still finished as one of Gonzaga’s three double-digit scorers. He averaged 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Sioux Falls had a busy first round, using three selections on Saturday. Along with Grant-Foster at No. 15, the Skyforce took Rhode Island’s Tyler Cochran with the No. 7 pick and Central Arkansas’ Masai Olowokere at No. 24.
The draft’s top pick went to the Texas Legends, who selected former Baylor and San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan.

Gonzagas New Look Gets An Early Reality Check At Arkansas
Gonzagas preseason reset is about to get a serious test, and it comes against a familiar kind of measuring stick in Arkansas. The two programs are set to meet in an exhibition game as they prepare for the 2026-27 season, giving both staffs an early look at rosters that have been largely rebuilt and a chance to see how new pieces fit when the pace picks up for real.
For Gonzaga, the matchup is less about the final score than about how quickly a new group can settle in against a talented opponent with its own questions to answer. Arkansas brings a roster built around a fresh core, and the game should reveal plenty about how the Bulldogs newcomers respond to size, athleticism and pressure on the other side of the floor before the long preseason evaluation really begins. Arkansas Gets An Early Gonzaga Test Fans Needed To See
Arkansas preseason showcase against Gonzaga already had the feel of an early measuring stick, but the lead-up has only sharpened the intrigue. With notable transfers and returning players on both sides, the exhibition gives fans a first real look at how the Razorbacks and Bulldogs are coming together, and it arrives with John Calipari still putting his own stamp on Arkansas new-look group.
Calipari has spent the stretch before the game emphasizing defensive intensity and competitiveness, part of a broader offensive adjustment he has been making as the roster takes shape. One more layer has been the status of freshman Miikka Muurinen, who was recently cleared to play after eligibility concerns lingered earlier in the offseason, giving Arkansas another piece to work with as it prepares for a matchup that should reveal plenty about both teams. Gonzaga Still Waiting On A Key Sophomore As Arkansas Test Arrives
Gonzaga heads into its exhibition matchup with Arkansas still managing a thin injury report, and sophomore Davis Fogle will not be available for the game. The left leg injury is not considered serious, but the Bulldogs are opting for caution rather than rushing him back before he is ready.
Fogle and Chauncey Wiggins are the only players not dressed for the contest, leaving Gonzaga without a pair of options as it continues its preseason tune-up. Wiggins remains sidelined because of ongoing eligibility issues, so the focus for the Bulldogs is on getting through this test healthy and without adding any new concerns. [Read more 🡒]
