Warriors' Steve Kerr Stuns Fans with Honest Take on Draymond's Costly Foul

Steve Kerr candidly addresses Draymond Greens costly mistake in a tense overtime loss to the Bulls.

The Golden State Warriors faced a tough overtime defeat against the Chicago Bulls, marking their third consecutive loss with a 130-124 scoreline. The game took a pivotal turn when Draymond Green fouled Jalen Smith with just 1.4 seconds left in regulation. This crucial moment allowed Smith to sink both free throws, tying the game at 118 and setting the stage for the Bulls to outscore the Warriors 12-6 in overtime.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed the incident post-game, acknowledging Green's foul but also shouldering some responsibility himself. "He was in a tough spot," Kerr noted.

"Draymond hadn't played the entire fourth quarter, and I put him in for those key defensive plays because of his prowess. But he wasn't exactly warmed up, and that might have contributed."

Smith's position, with one foot on the three-point line, indicated that a potential game-tying two-pointer was on the cards, not a three-pointer. Green's early contact granted Chicago the opportunity to level the game with free throws.

The Bulls were propelled by the electrifying performance of rookie Matas Buzelis, who racked up 41 points on an impressive 16-of-28 shooting. Meanwhile, Josh Giddey showcased his all-around game with a triple-double, contributing 21 points, 17 assists, and 13 rebounds.

On the Warriors' side, the scoring was evenly distributed with Gui Santos, Kristaps Porziņģis, LJ Cryer, and Pat Spencer each putting up 17 points. Despite their efforts, the Warriors' record now stands at 32-33, and they'll be looking to snap their losing streak against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
