The Golden State Warriors faced a tough night, dropping their third straight game in a 130-124 overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls. The spotlight, unfortunately, fell on Draymond Green, whose late-game foul on Jalen Smith turned the tide.
With just 1.4 seconds left in regulation and the Warriors leading 118-116, Green fouled Smith, who then calmly sank both free throws to tie the game. The Bulls seized the momentum, outscoring the Warriors 12-6 in overtime to secure the win.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed the situation post-game, acknowledging Green's challenging position. “He was in a tough spot.

He didn’t play the whole fourth quarter, and I put him in for a couple of defensive possessions because of his defensive prowess. But you know, he wasn’t exactly loose and in the flow.
I’m sure that didn’t help matters,” Kerr explained.

Smith was strategically positioned with a foot on the three-point line, meaning the Bulls were only looking at a potential game-tying two-pointer. Green's premature contact, however, granted Chicago two crucial free throws.
The Bulls were buoyed by rookie sensation Matas Buzelis, who lit up the scoreboard with a commanding 41-point performance, shooting 16-of-28 from the field. Guard Josh Giddey complemented the effort with a triple-double, tallying 21 points, 17 assists, and 13 rebounds.
On the Warriors' side, it was a team effort with Gui Santos, Kristaps Porziņģis, LJ Cryer, and Pat Spencer each contributing 17 points. Despite the balanced scoring, the Warriors fell to a 32-33 record. They'll look to bounce back and halt the skid against the Minnesota Timberwolves next.
