Among the few player assets Golden State can still point to, Moses Moody remains one of the more interesting names.
That’s true even after the knee injury that sidelined him a season ago and raised real questions about what comes next for him with the Warriors. The hope inside the organization is that Moody eventually makes it all the way back and returns to the level he showed before the injury. But there’s also another layer here: Golden State may know he is one of its limited trade chips and could decide to use him that way.

Moody has developed into a valuable piece for Golden State, but a nasty knee injury could keep him out for most of next season. The Warriors are short on time, so could move Moody to make room for LeBron James, or for another potential move.
Even with the injury, Moody’s upside and reasonable contract make him an asset,” Sean Deveney wrote.
Before the injury, Moody had shown enough to keep his value intact. At times, he looked like a real difference-maker for Golden State. At other times, he was more uneven, which is hardly unusual for a young player finding his footing.
He’s been in the league for five seasons, but he just turned 24, so this is still a young player with room to grow. And for the Warriors, he’s also someone who has already logged meaningful minutes in important moments.
