In the midst of a rollercoaster season, Stephen Curry remains confident that the Golden State Warriors will be a formidable opponent if they can secure a playoff spot.
Currently, the Warriors are holding their ground as Curry recovers from a knee injury. Though his MRI showed no structural damage, the two-time MVP will be out for at least 10 more days, as per team updates.
The Warriors are hanging onto the eighth seed with a 29-27 record after a recent loss to the Boston Celtics.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler is sidelined for the season with a knee injury, and Kristaps Porzingis is finding his groove with the Warriors after being traded from the Atlanta Hawks.
Despite these challenges, the 37-year-old Curry expresses unwavering belief in his team's potential.
“This year’s been unique, but if we can get into a playoff series, we’re a tough matchup for anyone in the West,” Curry shared with ESPN.
“With Porzingis joining us, we’re hopeful he stays healthy because we know what he brings to the table.”
Porzingis, 30, made his Warriors debut against the Celtics, contributing 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 17 minutes off the bench.
Known for his injury struggles, Porzingis could be the inside presence the Warriors have needed, offering both scoring and rim protection.
The Warriors still have a shot at bypassing the Play-In Tournament, but they'll need to ramp up their efforts to secure more wins in Curry’s absence.
