Stephen Curry Nears Return as Warriors Anticipate Major Comeback

As Stephen Curry nears his anticipated return, the Warriors' playoff hopes hinge on his presence to boost their postseason push.

Stephen Curry is on the brink of making a much-anticipated return to the Golden State Warriors lineup this season. Curry, who last took the court on January 30 against the Detroit Pistons, has been sidelined due to a knee injury, missing all of February and the first half of March.

NBA insider Brett Siegel shared insights into Curry's recovery timeline during his appearance on the Clutch Scoops show with Tomer Azarly. According to Siegel's sources, Curry is eyeing a comeback in the final week of March, aiming to complete his recovery and rejoin the team.

“Stephen Curry is eager to get back on the court before the season wraps up,” Siegel noted. “There’s optimism around the March 21 game as a potential return date, right after that 10-day window.

If he joins the six-game road trip, it’ll be a significant indicator of his progress. However, the March 25 game, marking the start of seven of their last 10 games at home, is seen as a key target for his return.”

The Warriors are undoubtedly feeling Curry's absence. With a 23-16 record when he plays and a 9-17 record without him, his presence is vital for their playoff aspirations this year.

In the 39 games Curry has played, he's been nothing short of spectacular, averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. His shooting has been impressive, hitting 46.8% from the field, 39.1% from three-point range, and a stellar 93.1% from the free-throw line.

Currently, the Warriors hold a 32-33 record, positioned ninth in the Western Conference. They are ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies, but trailing the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns.

With three consecutive losses, the Warriors are eager to bounce back as they prepare to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tip-off is set for March 13 at 10 p.m.
