Steph Curry's future on the international stage is still a hot topic, and it seems the basketball world might not have seen the last of him in a Team USA jersey.
The Warriors' iconic shooter, who dazzled audiences during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and played a pivotal role in securing gold for Team USA, is considering another run in 2028. His performance in Paris was celebrated globally, though perhaps not so much in France.
Marc Spears of ESPN recently shared insights on "NBA Today," discussing the possibility of Curry returning for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Spears noted, "Steph Curry is still interested in making his second Olympic appearance.
He will be 40 years old at the time. But with his shooting prowess, why wouldn't you want him on your roster?
He's not out of the picture, let's just say that."
Curry himself hasn't ruled out the possibility, although he expressed some doubt in a conversation with LeBron James on the "Mind The Game" podcast last November. While James humorously mentioned he'd be watching from Cabo, Curry reflected on his own potential participation.
"God willing, if I still have the choice and the physical ability to impact the team, never say never, but I highly doubt it. I'd love to be part of the movement."
So, has Curry's stance evolved since then? Could the recent success of Team USA's hockey teams at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games have reignited his passion for representing his country?
With more than two years to decide, Curry and other NBA stars have time to ponder their participation. One thing's clear: the door isn't closed for Curry, and fans will be eagerly watching for his decision.
