A broadcast mix-up at UFC 329 gave Dana White plenty to rage about after the event in Las Vegas, and the mistake centered on a familiar NBA name.
During the July 11 broadcast, champion boxer Shakur Stevenson was shown on a graphic as Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams. The commentators caught it right away and correctly identified Stevenson, but the on-screen error still set White off in a profanity-filled post-event rant.
“I just paid Shakur Stevenson a s---load of money, and for some reason we can't figure this celebrity s--- out,” White said. “They put him up as a f---ing OKC NBA player.
Are you f---ing kidding me? It's absolutely crazy.
We are the absolute worst to ever do the celebrity thing. When we put celebrities up, we are the worst.”
White said he screamed at his production team after the broadcast, and he later doubled down on that frustration when the topic came up again at the press conference.
“We'll put up f---ing graphics - and put the wrong guy's name on it. We win. We're the worst,” White said.
The error also drew a lighter response from Williams himself. Clemente Almanza of USA Today’s OKC Thunder Wire noted on social media that the Thunder guard posted, “ehhh close enough.”
The night’s main event didn’t go much better. After five years away from MMA, Conor McGregor’s comeback ended almost immediately when his bout with Max Holloway was stopped just seconds in after McGregor appeared to suffer a leg injury.

Warriors Rumor Could Bring Klay Back For A Franchise-Altering Twist
The idea of a Warriors offseason built around LeBron James has already been enough to stir up the league, but the ripple effect could reach an even more familiar face. If Golden State gets into the mix for James, there is at least a path, however complicated, that could reopen the door to Klay Thompson and set up one of the more dramatic reunions the franchise could imagine after his departure for Dallas.
None of it is close to simple, though. Golden State would still have to navigate the mechanics of any move for Thompson, while other teams are expected to be in the chase as well, which means the Warriors are not just dealing with nostalgia but with a crowded market and a messy offseason puzzle. For a team that knows how quickly championship windows can shift, the possibility is enough to keep this one on the radar even if the hardest part is still ahead. [Read more 🡒]
Warriors Fans Just Got A LeBron Update They Wont Ignore
Dillon Brooks has never been shy about leaning into his dislike for LeBron James and the Warriors, but he still floated a prediction that will get attention in the Bay Area. Brooks said he thinks James could end up in Golden State in free agency, a notion that would instantly change the conversation around a franchise that is always part of the leagues biggest rumors.
For now, though, the broader picture points elsewhere. NBA insider Shams Charania has reported that James is focusing on other possibilities, while Rich Paul has also made clear that James is not mainly chasing a championship ring this season. That leaves the Warriors in the familiar position of being part of the speculation without being the clear front-runner, even if any LeBron rumor is enough to keep fans watching closely. Warriors Fans Just Got Pulled Deeper Into LeBrons Dragging Free Agency Saga
LeBron James still has not chosen his next team as he heads toward a 24th NBA season, and the longer the wait goes on, the more the speculation keeps drifting toward the Warriors. That chatter picked up again after Dillon Brooks, never one to back away from a rivalry, grew impatient with James' free agency delay and tossed Golden State into the conversation as a possible landing spot.
Kendrick Perkins added another layer to the suspense, suggesting James is already aware of where he wants to play and is simply letting the process play out for attention. For Warriors fans, it is the kind of rumor that lingers because of the names involved and the fit it would create, even if the only certainty right now is that James is still holding the league in suspense.
