Klay Thompson says the teammate he was closest with during his Warriors run was Draymond Green.
On a recent livestream, Thompson looked back on his time in Golden State and pointed to Green as the guy he naturally gravitated toward most. The reason, as he put it, came down to age, time, and everything they lived through together.
“I’d say Draymond, just because we're the same age. We went through everything together. We were teammates for 13 seasons, and we would hang out a lot off the court and play a lot of dominos.”
Thompson also made clear that his bond with Steph Curry carried a different feel. He described Curry less as a peer and more as a guide.
“Steph is more of a big brother role model to me because he’s two years older than me. He’s an incredible family man.”
Thompson’s comments came as he reflected on a Warriors tenure that defined his career.
