Jason Semore's journey with Georgia Tech has come full circle. After initially serving as a defensive analyst in 2019 and 2020, he took on the role of defensive coordinator at Valdosta State for a year. By 2022, he was back with the Yellow Jackets as the linebacker coach, and now he's stepping into the spotlight as the new defensive coordinator.
Semore's connection with Coach Brent Key has been pivotal. Their shared time at Tech allowed them to delve deep into coaching philosophies, forming a strong professional bond. This relationship proved crucial when Key needed a new defensive coordinator, leading him to tap Semore for the role.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Semore noted, "Last time I was here, Coach Key and I found that relationship in the midnight hour." Their ongoing communication and aligned coaching philosophies made Semore a natural fit for the position.
