Parkview Faces A Massive Road Test With Plenty On The Line

Two powerhouse teams collide as Parkview seeks to reclaim the region title against North Gwinnett in a high-stakes duel under the Friday night lights.

Friday night in Suwanee brings a heavyweight Region 7-7A matchup with real stakes attached. Parkview and North Gwinnett are both 4-1 in region play, but the Panthers have the bigger prize in front of them: a win would give them their first region championship since 2019.

Parkview arrives at 7-2 and has spent the season looking like one of Georgia’s biggest turnaround stories under second-year coach Adam Clack. The Panthers finished 4-6 in 2025, but this group has surged into one of the state’s most dangerous offenses, putting up 44 points per game and showing they can beat teams in multiple ways.

Greg Hart has been the engine. The Parkview quarterback has thrown for 1,854 yards and 23 touchdowns while completing 70.6% of his passes.

He also has a prime target in Christian Ema, who has 737 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. On the ground, Zandon Mullins gives the Panthers another problem for defenses, with 933 rushing yards this season.

That balance was on full display last week in a 55-21 win over Norcross. Hart threw for 234 yards and six touchdowns, Mullins added 138 total yards and two scores, and Parkview rolled up 519 yards of offense.

North Gwinnett has its own answers. The Bulldogs are 8-1 and have won consecutive games, including a 49-7 victory over Norcross last week.

Their offense leans on a two-quarterback setup with Elam Rahman and Banks Halcomb. Rahman has passed for 1,469 yards and 17 touchdowns, while Halcomb has added 488 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Bulldogs also bring a defensive centerpiece in linebacker Jake Godfree, who leads the team with 96 tackles. And there’s a coaching wrinkle here, too: North Gwinnett’s Eric Godfree coached Parkview from 2014-22 and has never lost to Clack in three previous meetings.

Parkview has the chance to finish its surge with a title. North Gwinnett has the home field, the veteran staff and plenty on the line as well. With playoff positioning and a region crown in play, this one has all the ingredients for a big Friday night in Georgia high school football.

Georgia Faces A CFP Test That Could Tighten The SEC Race

Week 10 brings another round of SEC games with real playoff weight, and Georgias trip to Ole Miss sits near the center of it. The Bulldogs are part of a slate that also includes Alabama at LSU, a weekend that could reshape both the College Football Playoff picture and the conference race, with every result carrying more than just one loss in the standings.

For Georgia, the matchup in Oxford is the kind of test that tells you plenty about where a team stands in late October. The preview around the league points to game times, TV windows and the broader stakes, but the bigger question is how the Bulldogs handle a road environment against a ranked SEC opponent while the rest of the conference keeps tightening around them. Georgia Faces A Massive Ole Miss Test With Playoff Pressure Rising

Week 10 brings one of the biggest tests left on Georgias schedule, and the stakes go well beyond a single SEC win. Ole Miss has put itself squarely in the College Football Playoff conversation, and the matchup puts the Bulldogs in a setting where every drive matters, especially with the Rebels at home and the atmosphere likely to be a factor from the start.

Georgias edge could come from its rushing attack, but Ole Miss has its own answers if Trinidad Chambliss keeps playing at a high level. The Rebels also have to manage the uncertainty around Kewan Lacys injury, which adds another layer to a game already loaded with playoff pressure and little margin for error on either side. Georgia Is Counting On Elijah Griffin In A Huge Ole Miss Test

Elijah Griffin has gone from reserve to key starter in a hurry, and Georgia is leaning on that growth as it heads into a major SEC matchup with Ole Miss. The sophomore defensive lineman has become one of the more important pieces up front for a defense that has been among the leagues best, a rise that reflects both his development and the trust the Bulldogs have placed in him.

Griffin and his coaches have talked through how far he has come since his freshman season, when he was still working mostly in a backup role. Now the focus shifts to how that progress holds up against a dangerous Ole Miss offense, with Georgia counting on its defensive strength to travel into one of the seasons biggest tests. [Read more 🡒]
