Georgia and Ole Miss are adding a new layer of branding to their fields this fall, and Progressive Insurance is the company taking center stage.
The Bulldogs and Rebels have reached a sponsorship agreement with Progressive that will feature the company’s logo on their respective fields for the upcoming season. Georgia and Ole Miss are two of 13 programs nationwide to land an on-field logo deal with Progressive, joining Boise State, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas State, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest.
The package goes beyond the field itself. According to Georgia athletics, the agreement also brings “sideboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and other game day experiences designed to engage fans.”
Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks said the school views the partnership as part of a broader effort to build revenue while supporting its athletes.
“We are proud to be a part of Progressive’s impactful investment in college athletics,” Georgia AD Josh Brooks said, via release. “As we look for additional revenue streams while maintaining our strong positioning on a national level, this relationship assists in providing the necessary resources for our student-athletes. We are thrilled that Progressive is joining the many outstanding game day traditions at Sanford Stadium.”
College football’s move toward field-level sponsorships is still relatively new. The NCAA started allowing commercial logos on fields in 2024, with each school limited to three advertisements - one at midfield and two smaller ones elsewhere.
Georgia is scheduled to visit Oxford on November 7 this season.

Georgia Fans Wont All Agree On Whats Coming To Sanford Stadium
Progressive Insurance is set to have a visible presence all over Sanford Stadium this fall, as the company has secured the rights to place its corporate logo on Georgias home field for the upcoming football season. The sponsorship was arranged through Georgia Bulldog Sports Marketing, the joint venture between Learfield and JMI Sports, and it extends well beyond the turf. Fans will also see the branding on sideboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media platforms, along with other game day experiences.
For a program that treats Saturday home games like a premium event, the move adds another layer to how Sanford Stadium is presented on television and in person. Some Georgia fans will likely see it as a straightforward sign of the modern college sports business, while others may view it as one more corporate footprint inside a place that has long been defined by tradition. Georgia Just Added An Experienced Option To A Scrutinized Receiver Room
Georgias receiver room has been under the microscope this offseason, and the latest roster move gives Kirby Smart another experienced piece to work with. Cole Speer is back on the football roster after spending the past four seasons at Georgia, where he was mostly known for his work on special teams, giving the Bulldogs a familiar option as they sort through their depth at wide receiver.
The timing fits with Smarts recent acknowledgment that Georgia could still add players if the roster has room. Speers return comes with an extra year of eligibility in hand, and while the move doesnt change the top of the depth chart, it does add another veteran presence to a position group that has drawn plenty of scrutiny heading into the season. Georgia Still Has One Crucial Secondary Battle To Settle
Georgias secondary still has some sorting out to do as the Bulldogs move deeper into camp, with a couple of safety spots open and the coaching staff watching closely. Defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann and safeties coach Travaris Robinson have both pointed to the competition as one of the more important early battles on the roster, with KJ Bolden, JaMarley Riddle and other young defenders all in the mix for meaningful roles.
What makes the race especially interesting is that Georgia is not just filling jobs, it is trying to find the right blend of production and consistency before the depth chart hardens. The staff has made it clear that practice and scrimmage work will drive the decision, and several players are getting repeated chances to prove they can handle the speed and responsibility that come with starting in this defense.
