Keenon Verkerk Stuns Power 4 Programs With Epic Spring Visit Plans

Top college football programs vie for 6-foot-9 standout Keenon Verkerk as his recruitment heats up.

Spring break is shaping up to be quite the whirlwind for East Paulding's towering offensive tackle, Keenon Verkerk. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-9 and weighing in at 325 pounds, this standout from Georgia's 2028 recruiting class is catching eyes wherever he goes. And he's about to be on the move, with a packed schedule of spring visits to a host of schools.

Verkerk's itinerary reads like a who's who of college football programs: Louisville on April 3, Kentucky on April 4, and a doubleheader with Tennessee and Vanderbilt on the same day. He'll continue this fast-paced tour with stops at Tennessee State, Middle Tennessee State, and Memphis before heading to Ole Miss and Mississippi State. The journey doesn't end there, as he'll also visit Jackson State, Southern, LSU, Tulane, Southern Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and finally Georgia Tech by April 12.

It's a demanding schedule, but when you're one of the most sought-after offensive linemen in the 2028 class, it's all part of the game.

Some schools are already making a strong impression on Verkerk. Miami, Ohio State, and LSU have caught his attention, but Georgia isn't about to let this local talent slip away easily. The Bulldogs are keen to keep Verkerk close to home, inviting him to Athens right at the tail end of his visit marathon.

"I hear from Coach Kub [Edmund Kugbila] all the time. He's not letting me leave the state," Verkerk shared, hinting at the strong pull from Georgia. While he's yet to have an in-depth meeting with the new offensive line coach, the interest from the Bulldogs is crystal clear.

As Verkerk navigates this exciting chapter, the anticipation builds. His visits could very well shape the future of his football journey, and fans will be eagerly watching to see where this promising prospect lands.
