Georgia’s first real road test of the season arrives Saturday, and it comes with the SEC grind starting in full.
The No. 2 Bulldogs head to Fayetteville to face Arkansas at noon ET at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, a matchup that will be televised on ABC.

Georgia enters SEC play after flattening Tennessee State and Western Kentucky by a combined 133-23 over its first two games. Kirby Smart wasn’t interested in turning those blowouts into anything more than what they were.
“We don't want to annoint anybody right now because they recover fumbles or catch touchdowns,” he said. “When you score 70, you're going to have a lot of fluffy stats.
I don't care about stats. I really do not care.
The one that you guys are chasing, you guys will reward them. You will say we scored 70 and 60.
And the only thing I'm worried about is how the hell we're gonna play on the road."
That road question is the real one now, because Georgia is stepping into a conference game away from home after a pair of lopsided wins that told the Bulldogs very little about what waits ahead.
Arkansas, meanwhile, has already had a mixed start under Ryan Silverfield. The Razorbacks opened with a 31-14 win over North Alabama, then took a 43-10 loss at Utah. Georgia is treating that Utah result as part of the evidence that this trip will be a test, especially with the game coming in SEC play.
Arkansas offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey didn’t soften the challenge when he spoke to reporters.
“All the problems that need to be fixed better be fixed pretty danged quick because we’ve got probably one of the best defenses in the country coming into Fayetteville," Arkansas offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey told reporters.
BetMGM listed Georgia as a 45-13 favorite as of Thursday, Sept. 17, with the over/under set at 54.5. That projection matches the tone of the matchup: Georgia’s offense has too many ways to hurt a defense, and Arkansas hasn’t shown enough through two games to suggest it can suddenly shut the door.

Georgias 45-17 win over Arkansas had plenty to like, especially the way the Bulldogs leaned into their ground game and controlled the night from start to finish. Gunner Stockton gave the offense a steady edge with 97 rushing yards while also going 10 of 13 for 147 yards and a touchdown, and Chauncey Bowens turned in the kind of finishing work Georgia has come to expect with three scores. Add in a defense that kept pressure on Arkansas and came away with multiple sacks, and it was the sort of performance that usually leaves a staff feeling good on the ride home.
Still, one injury in the passing game could linger beyond the final score.
