The first SEC availability report for Georgia’s matchup with No. 10 Ole Miss brought a little good news for the Bulldogs, especially on the back end.
Cornerback Ellis Robinson was not listed after leaving Georgia’s win over Florida with a knee injury, which points to him being available for Saturday night. Robinson sat out the second half of the 27-8 win, and Braylon Conley stepped in and made the most of the opportunity, picking off a pass in relief.
Robinson has been one of Georgia’s more productive defenders this season, with two interceptions, five pass breakups and 15 tackles.
Georgia also saw three new names pop up on the report: tight end Elyiss Williams, linebacker AJ Kruah and defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye. Williams was rolled up on in the win over the Gators. He has seven catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns this season.
There was movement in the other direction, too. Wide receiver Isiah Canion was upgraded to probable after dealing with a knee injury since exiting Georgia’s Sept. 19 game against Arkansas. He dressed against Florida, but he did not play and was wearing a noticeable brace on his right knee.
Running back Chauncey Bowens was listed as questionable. He has not played since Georgia’s game against Vanderbilt.
Georgia got strong production on the ground against Florida from Nate Frazier and Dwight Phillips, who each ran for 67 yards. Frazier also scored his first rushing touchdown since the Arkansas game, after missing time earlier in the season with a rib injury.
Phillips didn’t finish the game Saturday, but Kirby Smart said afterward that it was because Phillips was tired, not because of an injury.
Outside linebacker Amaris Williams is listed as out.
Two more Bulldogs moved into the questionable category: wide receiver Thomas Blackshear and defensive back Tyriq Green. Blackshear has missed the last three games with a collarbone injury, while Green has been sidelined since the Western Kentucky game with an ankle injury.
Ole Miss has its own key absence on the report. Running back Kewan Lacy was listed as out after rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns against Georgia in last season’s College Football Playoff.
The SEC will issue further updates on Thursday, Friday and again 90 minutes before kickoff Saturday. Georgia and Ole Miss are set for a 7:30 p.m. start on ABC.

Georgia Just Got A CFP Warning Fans Can't Ignore
The first College Football Playoff rankings of the season gave Georgia a clear spot near the top, with the Bulldogs checking in at No. 2 behind unbeaten Miami. On paper, that is exactly where a team with Georgias profile wants to be in November, but the release also served as a reminder that the committees early order can be just as much about setting a tone as reflecting a finished resume.
Alabama landing at No. 5 with two losses stirred plenty of debate, especially with Tennessee sitting much lower despite a similar record and a head-to-head win over the Crimson Tide. Utah at No. 3 and UCLA at No. 8 added to the noise, reinforcing how much strength of schedule and subjective positioning can shape the bracket picture long before anything is settled. [Read more 🡒]
Georgia Momentum Faces A Real Test In Kirby Smarts Next Road Trip
Kirby Smart left Jacksonville with another win over Florida, and the Bulldogs sixth straight victory in the rivalry came with a familiar mix of timely plays and emerging contributors. Craig Dandridge, Nate Frazier, Gunner Stockton, Chris Cole, Jordan Hall and Demello Jones all had a hand in the result, giving Georgia another reminder that its depth can still shape a big game when the stakes rise.
Now the attention shifts to Ole Miss, and Smart is already treating the next road trip as a different kind of test. The Florida win offered plenty of evidence that Georgia is moving in the right direction, but the challenge ahead is whether that progress travels cleanly into a tougher environment and holds up against a team that can force the Bulldogs to answer in a hurry. Georgia Faces A Road Test That Will Expose Its Defensive Discipline
Ole Miss has turned its home field into a tough place for visitors, and that is the kind of setting Georgia is walking into with a lot on the line. The Rebels have built a strong winning streak in Oxford, and with Trinidad Chambliss drawing attention as a quarterback who can stress a defense in different ways, this trip looks like more than just another SEC road game. Urban Meyer has pointed to Georgias talent as the separator if the Bulldogs play their style, but the challenge is less about raw ability than about whether the defense can stay disciplined snap after snap.
For Georgia, the focus has to be on keeping Chambliss from turning broken plays into momentum and from forcing the Bulldogs out of their structure. Road games like this tend to punish lapses in communication and eye discipline, especially against a team that is comfortable feeding off its crowd and home-field rhythm. The Bulldogs have the pieces to handle it, but this is the kind of matchup that can expose whether their defense is merely talented or truly locked in when the game starts to tilt. [Read more 🡒]
