Georgia’s injury picture got a little clearer Wednesday, and it still leaves a handful of key names worth watching heading into Saturday’s matchup with Oklahoma.
The Bulldogs listed six players on their availability report: safety Tyriq Green, offensive lineman Marcus Harrison and outside linebacker Chase Linton were all ruled out, while running back Nate Frazier, wide receiver Isiah Canion and defensive back Justice Fitzpatrick were labeled questionable.
Frazier’s status stands out most after he briefly left Saturday’s game in the third quarter, came back, and then exited for good in Georgia’s 45-17 win. He finished with 14 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown, and through three games he has 24 carries for 202 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Canion’s situation is also one to monitor. He left the game on Georgia’s opening drive with a right leg injury and did not record a catch in the victory. For the season, he has 3 receptions for 28 yards.
Green’s issue came late against Western Kentucky, when he injured his ankle in the fourth quarter. That ended what had been a huge afternoon for the freshman, who not only recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown but also broke loose for a 91-yard kick return touchdown. That special teams score was Georgia’s first kick return touchdown since Terry Godwin in 2016.
"T-Green, we're finding more and more out on," Kirby Smart said to open Arkansas week. "We'll see what the deal is with him as the week goes if he's able to play or not."
Harrison was already ruled out before the Arkansas game and has seen action at offensive guard in Georgia’s first two games this season. The 6-foot-8, 330-pound lineman has appeared in four games over his time in Athens.
Linton has been dealing with a lower leg injury since fall camp. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound sophomore played in four games last season and logged 1 tackle, coming in the SEC championship game. He was a four-star prospect out of North Atlanta High School.
Fitzpatrick has been working back from a torn ACL. He warmed up before Georgia’s first two home games, but he still hasn’t played.
Smart gave the latest update on Aug. 18: "He's cleared.
He's working every day," Smart said on Aug. 18.
"He's doing indy. He's in all meetings, does all walk-throughs, does movement skills.
He has not done live tackle yet like some of our other guys have done. But I don't have a true timeline on that."
The younger brother of NFL safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, Justice Fitzpatrick was a major addition for Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound defensive back was a four-star in the 2026 class and ranked as the 10th-highest rated UGA signee per 247Sports.
Oklahoma has its own notable names on the report. Offensive tackle Michael Fasusi, linebackers Taylor Helm and Cole Sullivan, wide receiver Trell Harris and defensive back Michael Boganowski were all listed out. Defensive tackle David Stone and wide receiver Jer'Michael Carter were questionable, while linebacker Kip Lewis was listed as probable.
Fasusi has been sidelined since hurting his shoulder in the Sooners’ opener against UTEP. Oklahoma’s starting left tackle allowed just 4 sacks in 395 pass-blocking snaps last season.
Stone’s lower-body injury came during practice on Monday. The preseason All-American had 12 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks, and he was coming off a game in which he posted a career-high 8 tackles with 2 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. That tackle total was the most by an Oklahoma defensive lineman in eight years.
Lewis has 3 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks through two games in his senior season. He missed the New Mexico game with a knee injury, as did Sullivan, who is dealing with an arm injury.
