Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class is officially in the books - and it’s another strong haul for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. With 31 commits and the No. 6 overall class in the 247Sports Composite rankings, Georgia once again showed why it remains a perennial powerhouse on the recruiting trail. The class is headlined by five Top100 prospects, a group loaded with high-upside talent that fits the mold of what Smart and his staff consistently look for: elite athletes who can contribute early and often in the SEC.
But while 2026 is signed, sealed, and delivered, Georgia’s already building serious momentum for 2027.
So far, six players have committed to the Bulldogs’ 2027 class - and there’s no shortage of firepower in that group. The headliner?
Five-star running back Kemon Spell, who announced his commitment on February 2. Spell is the No. 7 overall prospect in the country, and his pledge gives Georgia a true blue-chip centerpiece to build around.
He’s got the kind of game-breaking speed and vision that can flip a field in one play, and he fits right into Georgia’s tradition of elite backs.
But Spell isn’t the only big name already on board. Top100 cornerback Donte Wright has been locked in with Georgia since June.
Ranked No. 34 nationally, Wright brings length, instincts, and physicality to the secondary - all traits that Georgia’s defensive staff covets. He’s the type of corner who can thrive in man coverage and isn’t afraid to come downhill and hit, making him a versatile weapon in the Bulldogs’ evolving defensive schemes.
Then there’s Kelsey Adams, a Top100 offensive lineman who checks in at No. 54 overall. Adams is a big, athletic presence in the trenches with the kind of frame and footwork that projects well at the next level. Georgia has made a habit of stacking elite talent along the offensive line, and Adams looks like the next in line to carry that tradition forward.
With this trio leading the way, Georgia’s 2027 class is off to a fast - and formidable - start.
So what’s next? Who else could be joining this group as the Bulldogs look to climb even higher in the rankings?
According to sources close to the program, Georgia’s staff is already identifying key targets and feeling confident about several early relationships. The Bulldogs are casting a wide net, but they’re also zeroing in on players who fit their culture - high-character, high-upside athletes who can thrive in Athens both on and off the field.
We’re still early in the 2027 cycle, but the foundation is already being laid. And if history is any indication, Kirby Smart and his staff won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Georgia’s recruiting machine is humming - and the rest of college football is watching.
