Nasir Anderson’s recruiting picture is getting tighter, and the five-star point guard has already trimmed his list to 10 schools: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Providence, Syracuse, Tennessee, UConn and Virginia.
Anderson, the No. 8 player in the class of 2027, has built a reputation as one of the most electric players in high school basketball, no matter the class or position. The 6-foot-4 floor general at Ft.
Lauderdale (Fla.) Prolific Prep missed a large part of the summer because of a hip injury, but he’s working his way back and expects to be on the floor by the end of September.
The setback forced him to sit out the AAU scene during what he described as a crucial stretch, but he said the time away also gave him a chance to reset. Anderson said he is ahead of schedule in his recovery and has used the break to focus on both his body and his mind.
“It was tough at first, realizing that this was basically my last summer and opportunity to go out on the AAU scene and play with those guys. Like with my AAU team we have had that relationship for a long time,” Anderson told 247Sports.
“ Josh Smith, he has been like my uncle you know somebody that I call my uncle for seven years now. So not being able to play was tough but it did give me a gap and an opening to get closer to God and work on the off the court stuff.
My leadership has been a big one, my mental state, I've been reading a lot books on stuff like that so that's been some things where I've learned and had time to capitalize on.”
