Norvell doesn’t have to solve everything at once. He does need the Seminoles to start playing better quickly, because otherwise the same issues from September could follow them straight into October.
The broader problem is bigger than just the next few opponents. Norvell is in his seventh season, and the calls for a coaching change are already loud enough that another close game won’t calm much of anything. He needs wins, and he needs enough of them to make a turnaround look real.
