Florida State linebacker Omar Graham Jr. is on the move. The redshirt junior announced he’s entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, signaling that his final year of college football will be played elsewhere.
Graham, a Fort Lauderdale native and product of Stranahan High School, has been with the Seminoles for four seasons. He came to Tallahassee as part of the 2022 recruiting class, choosing FSU over offers from Auburn and Miami. Now, after steadily climbing the depth chart and carving out a consistent role on one of the ACC’s top defenses, he’s set to explore new opportunities for his final season of eligibility.
At 6-foot-1 and 238 pounds, Graham brings size, experience, and production to the linebacker position. This past season, he played in 12 games and started five, finishing with 38 total tackles-24 of them solo. He also added a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry, showing flashes of versatility as both a run-stopper and in coverage.
His 2024 campaign was arguably his most impactful. He saw action in 10 games and started eight, including the final seven contests of the season. During that stretch, he totaled 27 tackles (20 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and three pass breakups-numbers that point to a player who became increasingly comfortable in his role and more disruptive as the season progressed.
Back in 2023, Graham appeared in all 14 games, collecting 23 tackles and two tackles for loss. And even as a true freshman in 2022, he saw the field in three games, notching eight tackles while preserving his redshirt.
Now, with one year of eligibility left and a full body of work behind him, Graham enters the portal as a seasoned linebacker who’s played meaningful snaps in big moments. He’s shown growth each season-whether it’s holding his own in the box, dropping into coverage, or making plays behind the line of scrimmage.
The NCAA Transfer Portal window for Division I players officially runs from January 2 to January 16. This year, there's only one portal window for 2026, so the clock is ticking for players like Graham to find their next destination.
Wherever he lands, Graham brings proven production, leadership, and a high football IQ-traits that should make him a valuable addition to any program looking to bolster its linebacker unit.
