TALLAHASSEE - Dothan, Alabama's four-star cornerback Ai'King Hall made his inaugural trip to Florida State on Thursday, and it left quite an impression. Ranked as the No. 129 overall prospect and the 17th best at his position for the 2027 class by 247Sports, Hall found the visit exceeded his expectations.
"It was very nice," Hall shared. "It was more than I expected. I really liked it."
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, Hall caught the eye of cornerbacks coach Blue Adams, who dedicated time to refining Hall's skills.
"Coach Blue was teaching me different ways to press and different coverages," Hall explained.
Hall also observed FSU's fifth spring practice and noted the intensity of the cornerbacks.
"The corners were going crazy today. They were doing good," he commented.
Adams has been a key figure in Hall's recruitment since arriving in Tallahassee, with FSU extending an offer in early February.
"It's been pretty good. He calls me, my mom, my dad, checking on the family a lot," Hall said of Adams' consistent communication. "I hear from him just about every 2-3 days."
During Thursday's visit, Hall had a candid conversation with head coach Mike Norvell.
"He was telling me all the things that would scare most people off. Just like telling me the real," Hall noted.
"He said if you want to be the best, there are going to be days you won't like me. That is real, and I like to hear stuff like that."
Following the visit, FSU has secured a spot in Hall's top five.
"They are definitely up here in my top five," Hall confirmed, listing Oregon, Miami, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M as the other contenders.
Although Hall had initially set an official visit with FSU, he plans to reschedule due to conflicting travel plans.
"I'm going to try to set it up for another date," Hall said. "But I'm definitely still trying to keep the official visit for sure."
Hall intends to take official visits to all five schools in his top five and aims to make his decision before his senior season, likely in July.
As of now, the 247Sports Crystal Ball remains silent on his future destination.
