Florida State QB Brock Glenn Enters Transfer Portal After Three Seasons in Tallahassee
Florida State quarterback Brock Glenn is officially moving on. The redshirt sophomore has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, bringing his three-year stint in Tallahassee to a close. Glenn, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound signal-caller out of Covington, Tennessee, made the announcement with a short farewell message, thanking the Seminoles and everyone who had been part of his journey.
Glenn’s time at Florida State was marked by flashes of potential, a handful of starts, and a steady presence in the quarterback room through a transitional stretch for the program. Now, he’ll look for a fresh start elsewhere, with two years of eligibility still in his back pocket.
A Career of Moments, Not Milestones (Yet)
Glenn’s FSU career was a mix of opportunity and development. Over three seasons, he appeared in 16 games and made seven starts, often stepping in during key stretches or late-game situations.
In 2025, Glenn saw the field in four games, largely in mop-up duty during wins. He completed 6-of-10 passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding 43 yards on seven carries. Notably, he didn’t appear in FSU’s matchup against Alabama, but he was part of four of the team’s five total victories on the year.
The 2024 season offered a more extended look at Glenn under center. He started five games and played in seven, completing 51-of-114 passes (44.7%) for 597 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions.
On the ground, he chipped in 97 rushing yards on 35 attempts. It was a season that offered valuable reps, even if the numbers didn’t jump off the page.
Back in 2023, Glenn got his first real taste of big-time college football. As a true freshman, he appeared in five games, including starts in both the ACC Championship and the Orange Bowl.
He went 19-of-51 (37.3%) for 229 passing yards and two interceptions, while rushing for 22 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. That season ultimately led to a redshirt, preserving a year of eligibility.
What’s Next for Glenn?
With two years left to play, Glenn becomes an intriguing option for programs looking to add a quarterback with starting experience and developmental upside. He’s shown toughness, mobility, and a willingness to step into high-pressure situations. While his numbers have been uneven, the context matters-he’s played in big games and within a program that’s seen its fair share of quarterback turnover.
The NCAA Transfer Portal opens for Division I players from January 2 to January 16. Unlike previous years, 2026 features just one portal window, so this stretch will be crucial for players like Glenn looking to find the right fit for the next chapter of their careers.
Glenn leaves Florida State with gratitude and a clean slate ahead. Wherever he lands, he’ll bring with him experience, poise, and the hunger to prove what he can do with a fresh opportunity.
