Barnes, who plays for the Toronto Raptors, is 25 years old and ranked No. 30 in ESPN’s 2025 NBA Rank. He has grown from the 2022 Rookie of the Year into a two-time All-Star entering his sixth season.
Last year, he became the engine of the Raptors on both ends, finishing fifth in Defensive Player of the Year voting while leading the team in assists and scoring nearly 20 points per game. This season, he is expected to join Kawhi Leonard as the core of a Toronto team trying to move from play-in scrappers to real playoff contenders.
His signature stat from last season stands out even more: Barnes led his team in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Since 2017-18, only LeBron James in 2021-22 and Nikola Jokic in 2017-18 have done that.
