Florida State will get an early test at home this fall when LSU comes to Tallahassee for an exhibition on Saturday, October 24, at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
The Seminoles and Tigers last met during the 2024-25 season in the ACC/SEC Challenge, with that game played in Baton Rouge, La. Florida State is 3-4 all-time against LSU.
The LSU matchup is now the second of three expected exhibition games known for FSU. The Seminoles will also travel to Auburn for the 2026 Ballin in Boutwell preseason event in Birmingham, Ala.
That game is set for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. ET.
If it gets finalized, Florida State’s third exhibition is expected to come against an SEC opponent at a neutral site in Florida.
FSU still has not released its full 2026-27 schedule, but several dates are already on the board. The Seminoles open the season against Florida A&M in Tampa, Fla. on November 2, host Florida on November 10, head to Tennessee for the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 1, face Texas A&M in Houston, Texas on December 12, and play Houston in Jacksonville, Fla. on December 20.
The ACC slate is also taking shape. Florida State’s league schedule will include home-and-away matchups with Miami and Clemson, plus home games against Pitt, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Notre Dame, and Syracuse. On the road, the Seminoles will go to Cal, Stanford, NC State, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, and Boston College.

Florida State Has One Crucial QB Decision Still Looming
With Ashton Daniels now set as Florida States starter heading into the season, the Seminoles can turn their attention to the next layer of the quarterback room. Mike Norvells staff spent spring practice sorting through a group that includes Malachi Marshall, Dean DeNobile, Jaden Sperry and Jaden ONeal, with each bringing a different mix of experience, upside and production to the competition.
The real intrigue is what happens once fall camp opens and the depth chart starts to harden. Marshall arrives with a decorated junior-college rsum, DeNobile brings a proven college track record, Sperry has been in the mix, and ONeal adds the appeal of a highly regarded freshman.
