Craver, who was dealing with multiple injury scares during the game, finished with just three catches for 31 yards. But the postgame conversation on social media quickly shifted elsewhere when fans noticed his public activity on Instagram. He had liked pictures posted by Peyton Blomquist, the Florida fan who went viral during ABC’s broadcast of the Gators’ upset win over Ole Miss.
Blomquist’s face kept appearing on the TV shot as cameras repeatedly zoomed in on her in the stands, and the attention sent her follower count soaring almost immediately. Less than 12 hours after Texas A&M’s loss, she posted a game-day photo dump on Instagram, and Aggies fans were quick to spot Craver double-tapping the post.
The reaction came fast, and it landed at a bad moment for Texas A&M. The Aggies are now 2-2 after a start that has gone from promising to shaky in a hurry. They opened with a 50-0 shutout of Missouri State at Kyle Field, then followed that with a 48-20 win over Arizona State to move to 2-0.
