The Ole Miss Rebels just added another big name to an already impressive transfer portal haul - literally and figuratively. Former Florida offensive tackle Enoch Wangoy is heading to Oxford, committing to Pete Golding’s program as part of the 2026 transfer class.
Wangoy’s story is one of the more intriguing ones in this year’s portal cycle. At 6-foot-7 and 333 pounds, he certainly looks the part of an SEC lineman, but his path to this point has been anything but traditional.
Born and raised in Manchester, England, Wangoy didn’t even pick up a football until 2023. Just a few years later, he's now suiting up for a program fresh off a historic College Football Playoff run.
Wangoy redshirted his first two seasons at Florida and didn’t see game action, but he enters Ole Miss with three years of eligibility remaining. He originally played high school ball at Zarephath Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was rated a three-star prospect. After entering the portal on January 2 in search of more playing time, he found his next opportunity in Oxford.
This move brings the Rebels' transfer total to 24 incoming players - a number that speaks to how aggressively Ole Miss has attacked the portal this offseason. That’s compared to 21 outgoing transfers, showing a net gain in talent and depth. Wangoy becomes the third offensive lineman to join the 2026 class, alongside interior lineman Troy Everett and fellow tackle Carius Curne.
For Ole Miss, this isn’t just about numbers - it’s about building on momentum. The Rebels are coming off a 13-2 campaign that ended in the Fiesta Bowl, where they narrowly fell to Miami 31-27 in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
That run marked the most wins in school history and their first-ever appearance in the Playoff. Now, the focus shifts to sustaining that success, and bolstering the trenches is a key part of that plan.
Wangoy may be raw, but the upside is undeniable. With elite size and untapped potential, he could develop into a valuable piece for an Ole Miss offensive line that’s looking to reload, not rebuild. If the Rebels can continue to mold talent like Wangoy while integrating more proven pieces through the portal, they’ll stay right in the thick of the national conversation.
