Missouri Quarterback Beau Pribula Set to Leave After One Season

After a brief but eventful stint at Missouri, quarterback Beau Pribula is on the move again, signaling another shift in his college football journey.

After a year in Columbia, quarterback Beau Pribula is on the move again. The Missouri signal-caller has officially entered the transfer portal and won’t be suiting up for the Tigers in the upcoming Gator Bowl against Virginia on Dec. 27, per multiple reports.

Pribula’s decision marks the latest twist in a college career that’s seen him bounce between two Power Five programs. He arrived at Mizzou ahead of the 2025 season after spending two years at Penn State, where he backed up and occasionally rotated in during his time in Happy Valley. With the Nittany Lions, Pribula flashed some promise-nine touchdowns to just one interception over parts of 24 games-but never fully seized the starting job before heading south.

In Columbia, he stepped into a more prominent role. Pribula’s 2025 campaign with the Tigers was a mixed bag: he threw for 11 touchdowns but also tossed nine interceptions, while adding six rushing scores with his legs.

The dual-threat ability was there, but the consistency wasn’t always. Still, he helped Missouri climb as high as No. 14 in the AP Poll by early October-no small feat for a program that hadn’t strung together three straight seasons in the top 15 in over 40 years.

But the momentum didn’t last. A loss to Alabama proved to be a turning point, triggering a late-season slide that ultimately landed the Tigers in the Gator Bowl. With Pribula now opting out of that game and seeking a new opportunity, Missouri will turn to its depth chart to finish out the season, while the quarterback begins the next chapter of his college football journey.

It’s a reminder of how fluid the quarterback position has become in the transfer portal era. For Pribula, the tools are there-he’s shown he can make plays with both his arm and his legs. Now, it’s about finding the right fit, the right system, and maybe a little stability.
