Georgia and Florida will be back in the spotlight in Atlanta this Halloween, but the weekend starts a day earlier with another familiar stop for the two programs.
On Oct. 30, the Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame will add four new names during a noon ET ceremony and luncheon at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame. The Class of 2026 includes two honorees from each school: Georgia’s Andre Hastings and Brandon Boykin, along with Florida’s Emmitt Smith and Maurkice Pouncey.
Hastings made his mark as a big-play receiver for the Bulldogs, finishing his Georgia career with 124 catches for 1,876 yards and 13 touchdowns. He spent three seasons in Athens before being drafted into the NFL in 1993.
Boykin, meanwhile, was a versatile force in the Georgia secondary from 2008-11, giving the Bulldogs a dynamic presence in the defensive backfield.
Florida’s pair brings plenty of hardware and production of its own. Smith starred in Gainesville from 1987-89, a three-year stretch in which he rewrote the Gators’ record book before going on to become one of the best running backs in NFL history.
Pouncey was a key piece up front for Florida from 2007-09, anchoring an offensive line that helped the Gators go 36-5, win two SEC titles and capture the 2008 national championship.
The Hall of Fame announcement lands in the middle of a season where Georgia and Florida will meet on the field in Atlanta on Halloween afternoon, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Trey Smacks move from Florida to Green Bay already made him a familiar name for Gators fans, but his first pro game added a new layer to the conversation. The former Florida kicker was a sixth-round pick by the Packers in the 2026 NFL Draft and beat out the competition for the starting job, then opened his NFL career by drilling all three of his field goal tries, including a 59-yarder, in Week 1.
