Peyton Blomquist is the Florida Gators fan who ended up pulling eyes away from the scoreboard during Saturday’s game against Ole Miss, and now her name is out there along with her social media.
Florida was busy making a loud statement on the field, rolling past No. 4 Ole Miss, 52-28, at The Swamp.
But in the crowd, one cutaway from ABC’s broadcast took on a life of its own. The blonde fan in the shot was held on screen longer than the usual quick reaction clip, and that moment quickly started getting replayed for reasons that had little to do with the game itself.
That fan has now been identified as Peyton Blomquist, and searches for her Instagram handle have surged. Her follower count has also jumped since the broadcast moment went viral. Unlike some previous fans who’ve blown up online after being shown in the stands, Blomquist has not been avoiding the spotlight.
There’s more to her than the attention she drew on Saturday. Blomquist is a pre-med nutritional science student at the University of Florida and has built a following on TikTok as a content creator, with nearly 30,000 followers.
Before college, she was the salutatorian of her high school class. She also served as the founding president of ChemClub and president of Biology and Medicine.
On top of that, Blomquist was the social media chair of the Science National Honor Society and took part in the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, BETA, Debate Team, and English Honor Society.
