Week 4 brought another busy Friday night for Florida Gators recruiting targets, and Ellis McGaskin earned the spotlight after stuffing the stat sheet in Williamson’s 19-18 win over Pine Forest.
McGaskin finished with 7 tackles, two tackles for a loss, 1 sack, and 2 quarterback hurries. That was enough to make him the week’s top performer among the commits.
A handful of other Gators targets also turned in strong nights.
De’Voun Kendrick helped Carrollwood Day roll past Steinbrenner 56-14, posting 3 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss. Amare Nugent was active in American Heritage’s 15-14 overtime win over Trinity Christian, finishing with 4 tackles and two PBU’s. Zahmar Tookes added 3 tackles and one quarterback hurry in Brighton’s 42-7 win over Irondequoit, while Tre Geathers had 4 tackles and one tackle for a loss in Providence Day’s win.
On offense, Tramond Collins delivered one of the biggest playmaking nights of the group. In Cottondale’s 56-0 win over Vernon, he logged one carry for 40 yards and a touchdown, and also hauled in a 65-yard touchdown catch. Receiver Elias Pearl also produced, catching five passes for 68 yards as Port Charlotte beat Dunbar 35-6.
Quarterback Davin Davidson was efficient in Cardinal Mooney’s 67-10 win over Wellen Park, going 7-of-9 with a passing touchdown. Tight end Tommy Douglas chipped in with one catch for 31 yards in Hun’s 69-0 win over Hewlett Sports Academy.
Kicker Aaron McWilliams was perfect in East Coweta’s 40-6 win over Douglass, going 4-for-4 on PATs and 4-for-4 on field goals. Running back Andrew Beard scored a touchdown in his return as Prince Avenue Christian beat Greater Atlanta Christian 38-15.
A few other commits saw mixed results. Kailib Dillard’s Jenks team fell to Bixby 13-6, while Aamaury Fountain and Dodge County lost to Fitzgerald 28-14.
Ja’Bios Smith had one carry for one yard in Swainsboro’s 35-7 loss. Cahron Wheeler managed a one-yard touchdown catch along with two tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one sack in St.
Paul’s 17-10 loss to Concordia Prep.
There were also some lopsided wins across the board. East St.
Louis beat O’Fallon 64-6, St. Frances Academy defeated Bryant 40-7, and Hun shut out Hewlett Sports Academy 69-0.
Port Charlotte, Cardinal Mooney, and Carrollwood Day all handled business comfortably as well.

- First Academy is now 4-0, with Whitfield contributing 2 carries for 12 yards in the win.
- Roanoke Catholic won by forfeit.
- Coatesville defeated Abraham Lincoln 31-14, and Coatesville is 1-2.
- Dillard is 2-2 on the year.

Floridas 52-3 win over Campbell was the kind of lopsided game that can easily blur together on the schedule, but it also offered a clearer look at just how much young talent is pushing for more snaps. Dallas Wilson stood out with five catches for 104 yards and a touchdown, while Lagonza Hayward made his limited reps count with five tackles. Add in freshman Stive-Bentley Keumajou Yondui flashing promise in his own brief work, and there was enough on film to suggest this wasnt just a depth-chart tune-up.
Coach Jon Sumrall sounded encouraged by what he saw from that group, and for Florida that matters beyond one comfortable win. Young players can disappear on a day when the score gets out of hand, but these Gators had several freshmen and reserves making cases to stay in the rotation.
