Florida’s 2026 roster is officially in place for fall camp, and the updated list released Tuesday showed seven newcomers who arrived after spring practice ended in April.
The group is headlined by defensive lineman Stive-Bentley Keumajou-Yondui, a three-star prospect from Coral Gables, Fla., who was originally committed to Florida in the 2027 class before reclassifying to 2026. At 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, he brings size to the line, and Florida’s staff is clearly intrigued by what he can become.
Sumrall said Keumajou-Yondui’s background makes him a unique developmental case.
"You're watching, his athletic ability shows. He's punted, and he's done a lot of different things on his high school tape.
Got great athletic ability," Sumrall said. "The game is newer to him, so the development, he's still got a lot of development left out in front of him.
But he's got the right size. He's really hard-working, passionate about the game.
You could follow him on social media, he's always posting another weight room video or him doing something out on the field. And so I think the guy likes to work, I think he's wired the right way.
So I look forward to seeing what he does."
Florida’s other notable newcomer is Jaylen Jordon, a former basketball player at Jacksonville University who first surfaced on the Gators’ radar after working out at the program’s Pro Day last spring. Jordon, listed at 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, will play tight end. His addition was first reported in May, so his name on the roster was not a surprise.
"Jaylen worked out at pro day, did some good things and felt like, why not take a shot on the guy to see what he can become? Who knows?
We'll see what happens there," Sumrall said. "...
This guy's playing basketball (at Jacksonville), and we had a couple NFL scouts request him work out at pro day, which is very unique. And so we're like, 'Yeah, sure.'
And he worked on a pro day, had a little injury, so nobody would file with him in the NFL free agency process. We were able to figure out he had eligibility in football, and why not see if we could bring him in and see what he could make of the situation and opportunity."
Another May addition, Jones, comes in from Independence Community College in Kansas. The 6-foot-1, 181-pound defensive back posted 12 tackles and five pass breakups in 2025 and is expected to compete for depth at corner.
"I just think we needed depth and wanted to see, could he come in and compete?" Sumrall said.
"And, you know, the two places you never feel deep enough are the offensive line and the secondary. I don't care how many good ones you got,
I would take another one. So just wanted to add another guy who could come in and compete and see what he can do."
The rest of the freshmen class is rounded out by Parks, Gross, Anderson and Jordan. Parks, who stands 6-foot-0 and 193 pounds, arrives after playing high school football with receiver Dallas Wilson at Tampa Bay Tech.
Wilson said he has already seen Parks settle in.
"When he came in, I remember telling him, 'Man, it’s not going to be easy because I remember when I first got here,'" Wilson said on Tuesday. "But the first day he was out there and did good.
After that he’s been stepping up in the room and stepping up as a leader in his room. He’s been doing great.
Watching him grow everyday, he got bigger. Seeing a guy you played with in high school with grow like it’s amazing to see him.
I’m very excited about him."
Florida’s seven newest players will hit the field Wednesday, when fall camp officially begins.

Floridas first preseason measuring stick under Jon Sumrall came with a bit of a shrug from the coaches poll. The Gators were left out of the US LBM Top 25 for 2026, but the respect level was not absent entirely, as the roster landed in the others receiving votes group after keeping several key players from last season and bringing in a batch of transfers to reshape the depth chart.
The bigger question is still the one hanging over the offense. Jon Sumrall has yet to name a starter at quarterback, with Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones Jr. still working through the competition, and that uncertainty is a big part of why Florida enters the year with something to prove. Floridas finalized 2026 football roster arrived before fall training camp with a few familiar names and a little more depth than the spring version had, thanks to seven additions since then. The newcomers include two transfers in tight end Jaylen Jordon and cornerback Javier Jones, along with five freshmen who now officially slot into the mix as the Gators turn the page toward camp.
