In a standout performance at the High Point Bob Davidson Team Challenge, Duke track and field senior Matthew Prebola earned the title of ACC Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the Week. Prebola, hailing from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, showcased his skills in the men's javelin with a personal best throw.
On his second attempt, Prebola launched the javelin an impressive 70.29 meters (230-7 feet), securing a first-place finish by more than 23 feet. This remarkable achievement not only puts him at the top of the ACC rankings but also places him fifth nationally.
As Duke gears up for their next competition, they'll head to the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility from March 26-28. Keep an eye on Prebola as he continues to make waves in the field.
