The Duke Blue Devils have been making waves in the recruiting world under the leadership of head coach Jon Scheyer, and their latest move is no exception. On Sunday, the Blue Devils extended an offer to Adan Diggs, a rising senior from Millennium High School in Arizona. This marks the first offer Duke has made to a 2027 prospect in over a month, and Diggs is certainly a name to watch.
Diggs is already a hot commodity in the recruiting scene, boasting over two dozen offers from top programs. Among these suitors are basketball powerhouses like the Kansas Jayhawks, Kentucky Wildcats, and Duke's fierce rival, the UNC Tar Heels. It's no surprise that Diggs is attracting such attention; according to 247Sports, he's ranked No. 2 overall, No. 1 among combo guards, and tops the list in Arizona for the 2027 class.
Eric Bossi, a national recruiting expert for 247Sports, had high praise for Diggs after observing him at the USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team minicamp. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 180 pounds, Diggs is a versatile five-star talent.
Bossi highlighted Diggs' impressive size and athleticism, noting his ability to attack closeouts, penetrate the paint, and capitalize on catch-and-shoot opportunities. While Diggs excels in ball screens and can see over defenses, he's currently best recognized as a scorer who can also facilitate for his teammates when necessary.
This offer to Diggs follows Duke's previous outreach to other top prospects. In late April, Kager Knueppel from Wisconsin Lutheran School became the first to receive an offer from Scheyer's team for the 2027 cycle. Knueppel, a 6-foot-10 forward and the younger brother of former Duke standout Kon Knueppel, has seen his stock rise significantly, moving up to No. 52 in the 247Sports 2027 Composite rankings.
Shortly after Knueppel's offer, Beckham Black from Southeastern Prep Academy in Florida caught Duke's attention. Black, a 6-foot-3 point guard, is another five-star recruit and is ranked No. 4 overall, No. 1 at his position, and No. 2 in his state.
Under Scheyer's guidance, Duke has consistently secured top-tier recruiting classes, landing in the top two in every cycle since he took over. With talents like Diggs, Knueppel, and Black on their radar, the Blue Devils are poised to continue their recruiting dominance.

Grayson Allen Is Heading Back To North Carolina Again
Grayson Allen is headed back to North Carolina, and the move gives the Hornets another veteran piece as they continue reshaping the roster after their recent Play-In Tournament appearance. For Allen, it also means another chapter in a career that has taken him through Utah, Memphis, Milwaukee and Phoenix, with Charlotte now becoming his latest stop as he prepares for his ninth NBA season.
The fit is easy to see from the Hornets side, since they are still sorting out how to build around a more competitive core after pushing into the postseason picture. Allen brings experience and perimeter scoring, and his recent run in Phoenix showed he can still help a team when healthy. What Charlotte plans to do with the rest of the return package is part of the larger story, and that is where this deal gets even more interesting. [Read more 🡒]
Duke Signee Boumtje Boumtje Just Delivered A Team USA Breakthrough
