Duke men's lacrosse standout Kyle Colsey has earned a spot on the USILA Team of the Week after a stellar performance against Vermont, where he racked up an impressive eight points.
Colsey was on fire, netting six goals and providing two assists in Duke's decisive 22-6 win over Vermont. The Ridgefield, Connecticut native was unstoppable, scoring four goals and adding two assists in the first half alone. He capped off his performance with two more goals in the second half, achieving a sock trick in just his third collegiate game.
After sitting out the 2025 season due to injury, Colsey transferred to Duke and immediately made his presence felt. In his first three games, he's already notched nine goals and five assists. With at least two points in every game so far, his 14-point tally ranks third among Duke freshmen over the past two decades.
Colsey is a key part of Duke's dynamic trio of freshman scorers, alongside Michael Ortlieb and Brady Scioletti. Together, they've amassed 31 points, contributing to 34 percent of the Blue Devils' scoring this season.
The seventh-ranked Blue Devils are gearing up for their next matchup against Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb. 21. The game is set to kick off at 12 p.m. at Freeman Field, Koskinen Stadium.
