Dukes Cameron Boozer Sweeps ACC Weekly Awards Again After Dominant Road Wins

Cameron Boozers dominant week has once again placed him in elite company-both at Duke and across ACC history.

Cameron Boozer Dominates Again, Sweeps ACC Weekly Honors for Fourth Time

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Cameron Boozer is doing more than just living up to the hype - he’s redefining what dominance looks like for a college freshman in the ACC.

For the fourth time this season, the Duke forward has swept both the ACC Player and Rookie of the Week honors. That’s not just impressive - it’s historic.

Only one other player in conference history, former Blue Devil Cooper Flagg, has pulled that off at least four times in a single season. Boozer is now part of that exclusive club, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

This latest recognition comes after a sensational week on the road, where Boozer put up back-to-back double-doubles in two commanding ACC wins. He averaged 25.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting a scorching 63.6% from the field. Those aren’t just strong numbers - they’re the kind of stat lines that anchor a team and tilt the court in your favor.

In Duke’s 71-56 win at Cal, Boozer dropped 21 points and grabbed 13 boards, adding three assists in a performance that felt steady and surgical. But he saved his best for Palo Alto.

Against Stanford, Boozer was unstoppable - 30 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and a block. He hit 12 of his 17 shots (70.6%) and even knocked down two of his three three-point attempts.

That’s the kind of all-around performance that turns heads - and wins games.

Thanks to Boozer’s efforts, Duke became just the second team in the last two seasons to sweep the Cal-Stanford road trip in ACC play - a notoriously tough West Coast swing. His presence on the floor continues to be a difference-maker, not just statistically, but in the way he elevates the Blue Devils on both ends.

So far this season, Boozer has racked up nine double-doubles, with five of those coming in 20-plus point games, and two in 30-point outings. That’s rare air for any player, let alone a freshman still adjusting to the college game. But Boozer isn’t just adjusting - he’s thriving.

The Miami native is now part of a growing legacy of Duke players who’ve made weekly ACC honors a habit. His four weekly sweeps are part of a broader trend: Duke has had a player win ACC Player of the Week 156 times - second only to North Carolina’s 158.

And when it comes to ACC Rookie of the Week, the Blue Devils have dominated in recent years. Since the start of the 2013-14 season, Duke has claimed that honor in nearly half of all possible weeks (106 out of 215), with 28 different players earning the nod at least once.

Up next for No. 5 Duke (17-1, 6-0 ACC) is a home matchup against Wake Forest (11-7, 2-3 ACC) on Saturday, Jan.

  1. Tip-off is set for 5:45 p.m.

ET at Cameron Indoor Stadium, with the game broadcast live on The CW.

If Boozer continues this level of production, he won’t just be a weekly headline - he’ll be in the conversation for every major award by season’s end.
