Coach K Responds To Hair Dye Accusations With One Detail

As rumors swirl about his iconic dark hair, Coach K shares a lighthearted denial while expressing pride in Duke's journey back to the Sweet 16.

Mike Krzyzewski, the legendary Duke coach, may have stepped away from the sidelines, but he's still very much a part of the March Madness conversation. After 42 seasons and five national championships, Coach K is enjoying the tournament from a different perspective-as a fan.

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Krzyzewski touched on some unexpected topics, including a lighthearted exchange about his hair. When McAfee suggested a TV role for the retired coach, Krzyzewski quipped about having "more of a radio face," and quickly dispelled any rumors about coloring his hair or eyebrows, humorously deflecting McAfee's teasing.

Even without the pressures of coaching, Krzyzewski's heart remains with Duke. The Blue Devils, on a quest for their first national title since his retirement in 2022, have made it to the Sweet 16.

Their path hasn't been without challenges, narrowly escaping No. 16 Siena and securing a win over TCU.

Coach K expressed pride in the team's performance and is hopeful for Caleb Foster's return from a foot injury for the upcoming game against St. John’s.

As the tournament heats up, Krzyzewski sees no clear favorite. While Duke stands strong, other top seeds like Arizona and Michigan continue to impress.

He also praised Purdue and coach Matt Painter, highlighting the exceptional play of their senior trio. "The field is wide open," Krzyzewski noted, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of this year’s competition.

With insights like these, Coach K remains a guiding voice in college basketball, even from the sidelines.
