Boozer Twins Turning Heads As Carlos Legacy Looms

The Boozer twins, Cameron and Cayden, are following in their father Carlos's footsteps, making waves in college basketball with Duke and aiming for NCAA glory.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer are making waves in the 2026 Men's NCAA Tournament, following in the footsteps of their father, Carlos Boozer. The twins have already made their mark by committing to Duke basketball, winning the ACC championship, and now setting their sights on bringing the Blue Devils their sixth NCAA Tournament title, a feat Carlos achieved back in 2001.

Hailing from Miami, Cameron and Cayden honed their skills at Columbus High School before committing to Duke in October 2024, choosing the Blue Devils over their hometown Miami Hurricanes. Under the guidance of head coach Jon Scheyer, they became the first commitments of Duke's 2025 class.

Cameron has been a standout performer, leading the team with impressive averages of 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. His stellar play has made him a frontrunner for National Player of the Year.

His accolades include being named the ACC's Player and Rookie of the Year, along with a first-team All-ACC selection. Cayden, meanwhile, has been a solid contributor, averaging 7.1 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game.

He's coming off career-high performances, scoring 16 points in the ACC Tournament and 19 in the NCAA opener against Siena.

The Blue Devils are set to take the court in the Sweet 16 of March Madness on Friday, March 27, at 7:10 p.m. ET on CBS.

Reflecting on Carlos Boozer's illustrious career, he played at Duke from 1999 to 2002 under the legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski. During his time with the Blue Devils, Carlos averaged 14.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game and holds the record for Duke's all-time leader in field goal percentage at .631. His achievements include being a 2002 first-team All-ACC selection and earning the title of ACC Tournament's Most Valuable Player, an accolade his son Cameron recently matched.

Carlos's professional journey saw him drafted in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over a 13-year career, he played 861 games, amassing 13,976 points and 8,192 rebounds. His career highlights include being a two-time NBA All-Star and winning Olympic medals with Team USA, securing bronze in 2004 and gold in 2008.

As Cameron and Cayden continue to carve out their own legacies, the Boozer name remains synonymous with basketball excellence.
