Prediction: He'll either wear a Tigers cap or no logo."
That prediction may be right, and the Tigers probably do have the slight edge. Still, Verlander’s career in Houston is impossible to ignore, and the Astros will make their case too.
The final twist is that this story may not be finished yet. Verlander’s Tigers chapter still has time to change the conversation if he gets healthy, the team makes a magical run, and he plays a major role in the postseason.
For now, though, the choice looks like it comes down to which stop mattered more to him: the place where he became a star, or the place where he proved he could still dominate after 34.
