Lions Star Amon-Ra St Brown Joins NBA All-Star Celebrity Lineup

Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown is trading the gridiron for the hardwood as he joins the lineup for the 2026 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in his Southern California hometown.

The NBA’s All-Star Weekend is always a celebration of basketball, culture, and star power-and this year, it’s getting a little gridiron flavor. Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is set to suit up for the 2026 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, joining fellow NFL standout Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers for the annual showcase of crossover talent.

The game tips off on February 13 at 7 p.m. ET at the newly minted Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and will be broadcast live on ESPN.

It marks the official opening of All-Star Weekend, and for St. Brown, it’s a bit of a homecoming.

The Lions star grew up in Southern California and played high school ball at the powerhouse Mater Dei, located just about 40 miles from the All-Star venue.

St. Brown’s inclusion in the celebrity game comes on the heels of a monster season in Detroit.

He just wrapped up his fifth year in the league with 117 receptions, 1,401 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns-numbers that not only powered the Lions’ offense but also earned him second-team All-Pro honors. Among wide receivers, he finished fifth in All-Pro voting points with 54, trailing only Puka Nacua (150), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (150), Ja'Marr Chase (102), and George Pickens (91).

That’s elite company, and it speaks volumes about the kind of year St. Brown had.

While the Celebrity Game is more about fun than fierce competition, don’t be surprised if St. Brown brings some of that same intensity to the hardwood. He’s known for his work ethic and competitive edge-traits that should translate well, even in a game filled with entertainers and athletes from across the sports world.

And he won’t be the only Detroit connection on the All-Star Weekend stage. Pistons head coach J.B.

Bickerstaff will be guiding one of the squads in the newly introduced U.S. vs. World format for the All-Star Game itself, which wraps up the weekend on February 15.

Even bigger news for Pistons fans: Cade Cunningham has been named an All-Star starter for the first time in his career, a well-earned nod for the rising star.

So whether you’re tuning in for the dunks, the drama, or just to see how an NFL wideout looks with a basketball in his hands, the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend is shaping up to be a full-court celebration-and Amon-Ra St. Brown is ready to be part of the action.
