Cade Cunningham is turning heads both on and off the court. Fresh from a standout performance at the All-Star Game, the Detroit Pistons star is now gracing the cover of GQ Magazine. The feature, which hit social media on February 19, hails Cunningham as "the NBA's surging new superstar," offering fans a glimpse into his life in Detroit and his roots in Dallas.
This isn’t Cunningham’s first magazine spotlight. He previously appeared on SLAM 255 in April 2025, showcasing the Pistons’ City Edition uniforms, and was also featured on SLAM 238 before his rookie season kicked off in Detroit.
Cunningham is in the midst of a career-best season, leading the Pistons with an impressive 25.3 points and 9.6 assists per game over 47 games in his fifth year. His stellar play earned him a second consecutive All-Star selection, where he helped propel the USA Stars to victory in the revamped event on February 15.
While Cunningham has been the face of the Pistons this season, he wasn’t the most recent player to land a magazine cover before this GQ feature. That honor went to center Jalen Duren, who appeared on SLAM 260 in January. Duren is having a breakout year, averaging 17.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, securing his first All-Star nod.
Together, Cunningham and Duren have propelled the Pistons to the NBA’s best record by the All-Star Break. They’re set to continue their dominance in the Eastern Conference as they face the New York Knicks on Thursday night.
