Jason Kelce breathed a sigh of relief after Kentucky's nail-biting overtime win against the Santa Clara Broncos in the NCAA Tournament. The game was on the brink when Santa Clara's center, Allen Graves, nailed a potential game-winning three-pointer with just two seconds on the clock.
But Kentucky's Otega Oweh had other plans, sinking a stunning half-court shot to force overtime. Oweh continued his clutch performance by hitting all four of his free throws, helping Kentucky outpace the Broncos 16-11 in the extra period.
Like many fans, Kelce might have thought Kentucky's chances were dashed after Graves' shot. Yet, Oweh's heroics reignited hope. The former Philadelphia Eagles center shared his reaction on X, expressing the rollercoaster of emotions fans experienced.
"Two seconds after saying f*cking Kentucky, we’re back in it, baby," he posted.
Once the Wildcats secured their spot in the next round, Kelce added, "Never a doubt."
Oweh shone brightly for Kentucky, leading with 35 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
In the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce and his brother, three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce, unveiled their Final Four picks. Travis kept it straightforward, while Jason took a more playful approach, admitting he hadn’t followed college basketball closely this season.
Travis went with Duke, Arizona, Alabama, and Illinois to spice things up. Jason, meanwhile, initially picked Michigan State, Duke, Houston, and St. John’s, despite the logistical hiccup of having too many teams from the East region.
"I'm going strictly with coaches that I know are dawgs," Jason explained.
He then turned to his six-year-old daughter, Wyatt, for some whimsical assistance. Wyatt predicted Howard would upset Michigan and Georgia would take down Saint Louis. Ultimately, Jason settled on Arizona, Houston, Michigan State, and Iowa State for his Final Four.
