The Denver Broncos have certainly made waves this offseason, pulling off a blockbuster trade that has fans buzzing. By sending a 2026 first-round pick, along with a third and fourth-rounder, to the Miami Dolphins, they've brought in wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and a 2026 fourth-round draft choice. This move signals Denver's commitment to making a serious push for the Super Bowl.
Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins couldn't hide his excitement when he appeared on NFL Network, eagerly discussing the offensive firepower now at Denver's disposal.
"We've got another guy that just came in, Jaylen Waddle, you know what I'm saying?" Dobbins shared, highlighting the team's depth.
"Pick your poison because we've got (wide receiver) Courtland Sutton, we've got the young (receiver) Pat Bryant, we've got a great O-line, we've got everything. We've got an embarrassment of riches on this team of talent."
Waddle has already hinted at forming a dynamic duo with Sutton, becoming 1A and 1B targets for the young quarterback Bo Nix. Unfortunately, Nix's promising season was cut short due to a broken ankle suffered in a thrilling 33-30 overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills during the divisional playoffs. Without him, the Broncos fell to the New England Patriots in a tough 10-7 AFC Championship loss.
For Dobbins, the upcoming season is personal. After a foot injury in Week 10 required surgery, the 27-year-old is back with a renewed sense of determination.
"I'm excited," Dobbins expressed passionately. "I really am, because, call it what it is, I got hurt, I missed the last, what, seven games in the regular season.
I'm fresh. I'm gonna be fresh, and I'm gonna be p- off because I'm tired of the unfortunate stuff.
I know that I can do it. It's gonna happen this year.
It's gonna be great."
The Broncos' acquisition of Waddle is a clear signal that they're in win-now mode. The pressure is on, and with a Super-Bowl-or-bust mentality, it will be fascinating to see how this talented squad rises to the occasion.
