Could the Broncos be gearing up for another international showdown in the 2026 season? If so, all signs point to a thrilling matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City.
This possibility was the hot topic when NFL Network’s Steve Wyche caught up with Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins.
While Dobbins didn’t spill the beans, his playful response left room for intrigue. “I don’t know anything.
I plead the Fifth. I don’t know anything,” he said with a laugh.
A trip to Mexico City would be a welcome adventure for the Broncos, especially since they hold international home marketing rights there. Wyche’s question came after Dobbins, the team’s leading rusher in 2025, shared his experience hosting a football camp in the vibrant city. Fluent in Spanish, Dobbins has a knack for connecting with fans on both sides of the border, a skill honed during his time in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Dobbins’ passion for outreach shines through as he reflects on his camp experience. “I got some Spanish people in my family.
And I also love to touch kids of a different type of upbringing,” he shared. “Mexico was a great opportunity for me because I want to touch the kids - not only in English, but in Spanish.”
His enthusiasm for the game and for giving back was palpable. “Going out there to a less fortunate place, it was amazing.
And the kids were amazing. I had so much fun.
And they know football. They’re pretty athletic.
It’s crazy how much football there is in Mexico City. It’s amazing.
I had a blast.”
Dobbins was clearly moved by the experience. “Just seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and whenever I would speak Spanish to them, they loved that.
And it was great, man. I had a great time and the city was great.
The fans were great. Broncos Country, it runs deep in Mexico City and all through Mexico.
So, it was great. I had a really great time and it was a blessing to be there.”
With such a strong connection to the fans in Mexico, the Broncos’ return to Mexico City seems like a natural fit. Broncos Country might just be packing their bags for another international adventure.
