Broncos Eyeing Tight End Talent at NFL Combine
INDIANAPOLIS - The Denver Broncos are once again focusing on tight ends at this year's NFL Scouting Combine, a strategy reminiscent of last year's efforts. They've been busy meeting with several promising prospects, including Georgia’s Oscar Delp, Ohio State’s Max Klare, TCU’s DJ Rogers, Cincinnati’s Joe Royer, Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq, and Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers.
Stanford’s Sam Roush also had an informal chat with the Broncos, while SMU’s Matthew Hibner and Houston’s Tanner Koziol connected with team officials at the Senior Bowl.
This attention to tight ends comes after a challenging season where the Broncos' tight end group struggled, ranking in the league's bottom 10 for most receiving categories. Evan Engram, in particular, had a tough time with drops, recording the second-worst drop rate among tight ends with at least 25 targets.
Among the prospects, Kenyon Sadiq stands out as a potential first-round pick. He stepped up his game last season, racking up 560 yards and eight touchdowns on 51 catches. His meeting with the Broncos was positive.
“They’re getting to know us and testing our football knowledge,” Sadiq shared. At just 20, he’s already dreaming of reuniting with his former Oregon quarterback, Bo Nix.
“It would be awesome to play with him again. He’s a great guy who elevates everyone around him.”
ESPN’s Field Yates has even speculated Sadiq might end up with the Broncos.

The Broncos are also eyeing defensive talent, having met with Emmanuel McNeil-Warren from Toledo. Expected to be a late first-round or early second-round pick, McNeil-Warren is known for his knack for forcing turnovers, with 12 fumbles to his name. Given Coach Sean Payton’s emphasis on increasing takeaways, McNeil-Warren’s skills are certainly catching the team's attention.
