The Bruins bring a five-game winning streak into Dallas on Tuesday night, closing out a four-game road trip against a Stars team that has found its footing over the last week.
Boston sits at 7-2 after powering through a stretch that included a West Coast sweep - 6-3 over San Jose, 4-2 over Anaheim and 4-1 over Los Angeles - along with wins over Utah, 6-1, and Philadelphia, 5-1. Dallas is 4-3-1 and comes in with back-to-back victories of its own, beating Colorado 3-2 in a shootout and blanking Chicago 4-0.
The matchup also carries a reminder of what happened the last time the Bruins visited American Airlines Center. Boston was beaten 6-2 there on Jan. 20 last season, and head coach Marco Sturm made it clear he wants that result on his team’s mind.
“I really hope they remember the game here last year,” said Bruins head coach Marco Sturm. “I really do.
Because we got embarrassed here and we were going home too, so I think that's something. It was on us and hopefully we're going to have a better result than a year ago.
But it's always a tough one. We are feeling good right now and playing against a really good hockey club over there.
So, we're going to have our hands full so it's going to be a great night for us hopefully.”
Boston’s lineup features JJ Peterka, Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak on the top line, with Marat Khusnutdinov, Fraser Minten and Morgan Geekie next up. Casey Mittelstadt centers Elias Lindholm and James Hagens, while Tanner Jeannot, Matthew Poitras and Mark Kastelic form the fourth unit.
On the blue line, Hampus Lindholm and Charlie McAvoy are paired together, with Nikita Zadorov alongside Will Borgen and Frederic Brunet with Mason Lohrei. Jeremy Swayman is listed in goal, with Michael DiPietro backing him up.
Dallas counters with Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz and Tyler Seguin leading the way up front, followed by Sam Steel, Wyatt Johnston and Mikko Rantanen. Justin Hryckowian, Arttu Hyry and Jamie Benn make up another forward trio, with Joel Kiviranta, Radek Faksa and Colin Blackwell on the fourth line.
The Stars’ defense groups are Thomas Harley and Miro Heiskanen, Lian Bichsel and Nils Lundkvist, and Kyle Capobianco with Tyler Myers. Jake Oettinger is the expected starter, with Casey DeSmith behind him.

Stars Just Teased A Jersey Twist Fans Will Definitely Debate
The Stars have given their fans another reason to start debating uniforms, thanks to a cryptic social media teaser hinting at the possible return of a neon green jersey concept called the "Hometown Remix." It is the sort of message that immediately gets attention in Dallas, where jersey reveals tend to spark as much conversation as lineup moves, and this one arrived with no official release date or confirmation attached.
There is also a broader backdrop here, since Dallas is expected to take part in the 2027 NHL Stadium Series outdoor game and could use that stage for additional new looks. Between the hinted green concept and the possibility of another design tied to the outdoor showcase, fans have plenty to speculate about for now, even if the team is keeping the details close to the vest.
