Lamar Jackson did not waste much time putting a little edge on the Ravens’ Week 3 trip to Brazil.
Ahead of Baltimore’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Jackson was asked about Dallas’ defense and why the team is known as “America’s Team.” His answer came with a grin and a jab.
“Yes, but this is America. That is Brazil,” Lamar Jackson said, according to a post from The Athletic’s Jon Machota.
Jackson then shifted into football mode and gave Dallas its due up front.
“So we will see, we will see. But I have seen (the Cowboys) pass rushers - they are unbelievable.
They get after the quarterback a lot and disrupt the pass game a lot. But, it is football at the end of the day, you know?
We are just going to have to go out there and do what we (are) supposed to do,” Jackson added.
The Ravens and Cowboys enter the game at 1-1, and the Week 3 meeting has plenty of attention attached to it. It also comes as both teams continue working through roster questions in the early part of the 2026 season. Baltimore still needs more wide receiver depth, while Dallas is reportedly not finished adjusting its roster.
On the field, Jackson has opened the year in strong form, completing 67.9 percent of his passes so far in 2026. But Baltimore could be shorthanded around him.
Zay Flowers is dealing with a lingering hamstring injury and remains uncertain for Week 3, even though coach Jesse Minter sounded a bit optimistic about his status earlier this week. Flowers missed Wednesday’s practice as the Ravens got ready for the Cowboys.
Rookie Ja’Kobi Lane is also out after injuring his wrist against the Colts. He has been placed on Injured Reserve.
