Jerry Jones marked his 84th birthday this week by doing something Cowboys fans rarely get from him: opening the doors to his private life.
The Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager gave FOX & Friends host Steve Doocy a tour of his Dallas mansion, a property that’s been valued online anywhere from $27 million to $33 million. Jones showed off the kind of collection you’d expect from one of the NFL’s most recognizable power brokers - Super Bowl trophies and rings, photos of the Cowboys Triplets, and other pieces that come with an eye-popping price tag.
The visit had a full MTV Cribs feel as Jones and Doocy moved through the house, with the host even taking a lighthearted shot at the number of Lombardi trophies in the building. "Where are the others?", he joked.
Jones stayed loose through the exchange and also used the moment to talk football, specifically the sweeping overhaul Dallas made on defense this offseason.
"Well, let's say this, we've changed everything on the defense. Not since I bought the team have we had more changes," Jones said.
"We've changed out the personnel dramatically. We've changed out the coaching staff totally.
We've changed out the schemes involved. That first year we won one game.
We're evolving, but it's probably a little more time needed than I had anticipated when we made these changes this year."
The tour also included some of the standout items in the home: Norman Rockwell’s "The Toss," rare Leyendecker paintings, a custom library with a star-covered ceiling, a hidden door, and original Thomas Jefferson documents.
For Cowboys fans, one of the most notable pieces may have been Troy Aikman's first $3 million contract check, another reminder of how much history Jones keeps around him.
The full 15-minute video tour shows the mansion in detail, giving an uncommon look at a part of Jones’ life that usually stays far from public view. His birthday weekend could still get better if the Cowboys beat the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

CeeDee Lamb Gives Cowboys A Needed Boost Before Packers Test
CeeDee Lamb gave the Cowboys a welcome midweek lift by practicing fully Wednesday and Thursday as they prepared for their Week 6 matchup with the Packers. Lamb took a bruised quad in Week 5, but he has been feeling better and appears on track to handle his usual workload when Dallas takes the field.
For a Cowboys offense that leans heavily on its top target, getting Lamb back at full speed matters just as much as getting him back on the field. He leads the team in receiving yards and touchdowns this season, and his availability gives Dallas a much cleaner outlook entering a test against Green Bay. [Read more 🡒]
Cowboys Need Two Missing Defenders To Help Fix A Shaky Defense
The Cowboys are still trying to steady a defense that has needed help, and the latest move on the coaching side shows how serious the urgency is. Christian Parker has been shifted to the booth to handle play-calling, while Mike Pettine has been added as a senior defensive assistant as Dallas looks for anything that can sharpen a unit that has not looked settled.
There is also a chance the help comes from the lineup itself. DeMarvion Overshown was limited in practice after dealing with a hamstring injury, and Joey Porter Jr. was a full participant after a recent illness, giving Dallas a possible boost heading into its game against the Green Bay Packers. Both have been on the field only once this season, so even getting them closer to available would matter for a defense searching for answers. [Read more 🡒]
Cowboys Fans Have A Lot Riding On Week 6 Beyond Green Bay
Week 6 brings more than just a date with the Packers for Dallas. With the NFC standings still taking shape, the Cowboys have plenty of reasons to keep an eye on the rest of the league while they try to steady their own position. The playoff race is already crowded enough that outcomes elsewhere can matter almost as much as what happens on the field in Green Bay.
Around the conference, a handful of other games carry real weight for Dallas because they can shift both the wild card picture and the draft-pick math down the line. It is the kind of week where one result in another stadium can change how the Cowboys view their path over the next month, which is why so many eyes in the building will be on more than one scoreboard.
